Printers Row Lit Fest Photos

This year’s Printers Row Lit Fest poster.

Tote!

A snapshot from the “Chicago’s Multicultural Pioneers” panel.
From left to right: Danielle Chapman, Chicago Department of
Cultural Affairs; Martin Riker, Associate Editor of Dalkey
Archive Press; Don Share, a poet, translator, and the Senior
Editor of Poetry; Jochy Herrara, author of two collections of
essays and director of the Spanish-language book imprint
Ediciones Vocesueltas; and Fernando Diaz, an investigative
reporter and Managing Director of Hoy, Chicago’s only daily
Spanish-language newspaper.

Another shot from the “Chicago’s Multicultural Pioneers” panel.

Printers Row attendees milling about.

Visitors poke through tables of books.

Rows of tents.

Two Chicago publishers: Puddin’ Head Press on the far
left and RHINO on the far right.

Looking toward the loop.

I think I freaked this guy out while trying to take
a photo of the UCP booth.

Here’s UCP.

I take a photo of Powell’s tent at Printers Row.
Random guy gets angry.

My one purchase of the day: a 1950s hardback copy
of “As I Lay Dying” from Open Books, a used bookstore that
donates their profits to charity.

An here it is!

Columbia College made an appearance at the lit fest,
selling copies of a few of their publications including Hairtrigger,
their literary journal.

C-Span2 filmed the events at the Printers Row Lit Fest
(and got a great parking spot for doing so).
Full-sized pictures available on picasa.
